Wisconsin- Germans & Dutch Culture There?

I have been told Milwaukee has a large German influence. I am trying to decide where to settle down after nursing school. Some place, clean, safe, with culture- German and/or Dutch would be great. I liked Chicago. Only been to Wisconsin once- Appleton. Any ideas?
