And try to go back to school for a lower degree, the only financial aid you are offered is loans? I just got my Bachelors degree and wanted to go back to get my A.A. in nursing. I chose A.A. because my university is doing budget cuts. Anyway, I contacted the financial aid office at the community college to apply and was told that because I have a Bachelor’s degree, I will only get offered loans and no grants. I didn’t believe her, so I went and asked for a 2nd opinion and sure enough I got the same answer. That is a retarded policy. Why since I have a Bachelor’s degree and want to go back for a totally different degree I can only get loans? Why can’t I get grants? Is this everywhere or just Florida?
