Why is it that I have to go to a community school to get just the associates degree in nursing?
This Question From South Carolina Nursing Schools | The Question Has 4 Answers
I want to do the ADN program so I can have my associates degree in nursing. I know the differences between the ADN and the BSN. What I dont understand is from looking up colleges online for South Carolina is that in order to just get my associates degree in nursing I must go to a community or technical college, rather then the bigger colleges. Yes, community college is cheaper but money is not an issue for me since my grandparents set up a college fund for me
which i appreciate very much!! The thing is there is not much going on a community colleges so I would rather not go to one if possible. I am set on getting my associates degree in nursing because I don’t want to have to go a long time for school (2 years is enough). Its looks as if bigger universities such as USC, Lander, USC upstate..etc. dont offer the option of the ADN program so if i went there I would have to go for my BSN degree. I have looked a lot over the internet about this subject but maybe I am wrong. Maybe somebody can tell me of a big University in SC that I can go to and get the real college experience and possibly play sports or be in a sorority or at least have more going on at the college then technical colleges. And of course the school needs to offer the ADN program! PLease help me i gotta make some big decisions soon!
