The reason why I’m asking this is because on Yahoo! answers, when people ask which school is better, people always say that BYU is better in every way. I don’t think its fair to compare the two so harshly because comparing BYU Idaho to BYU is like comparing bananas to iguanas – they are both very different.
Also, BYU Idaho has completely revamped their General Education program, and some of their programs FAR surpass BYU’s, like the Nursing program. There are many appealing aspects to BYU Idaho, and in fact, when I was applying to the three BYU schools, I put BYU Idaho as my FIRST choice, with BYU SECOND. I prefer BYU Idaho’s smaller class size because you get more one on one time with professors and they seem genuinely interested in their students. Recently, Elder Russell M. Nelson, Cecil O. Samuelson (BYU President), the president of BYU Hawaii and high ranking officials at CES came to BYU Idaho to see what we’re doing, and how they can implement it at BYU.
I’m not knocking BYU here, its a great university, and I have friends there who love it, but I just don’t get all the hate at BYU Idaho. Its a great school as well.
