Yesterday, my daughter was involved in an accident on her school bus. This is the second school bus accident that she has been in with her school bus within a week. Any advice from anyone,LAWYERS especially. The first accident was at the school in the bus loop. Another bus hit her bus in the back, and all they did was have the school nurse check the kids. Ok that was fine, since my daughter didn’t receive any injuries. Based on some information I received from her teachers, she was horrified and it took them a while took calm her down, because she was crying so bad. That accident was last week Wed. I didn’t get a call from the school until she was on the way home. Yesterday, I was waiting for her to return home from school, at her normal time. When her bus didn’t come by it regular time I became extremely concern. So I called the school to ask them if her bus was running late, they told me that they didn’t know. So The lady that I spoke with gave me the number to transport. That’s when I found out that her bus was involved in ANOTHER accident. I asked them aren’t the parents suppose to be with their child when they examined them, they wouldn’t let any of the parent go in the back with their child(ren). The reason they said was because they had a number of kids to a Rm. and it would be too crowded w/ the Dr.s nurses and parents in the room. When they did let the parents go in the back, they were discharging the kids. The whole time everyone kept telling us that they were the happiest kids that they have ever seen. I told them that was called shock. They did not follow the normal procedures, they didn’t even have us sign any paper for them to treat the children. Some parents were mad because they were at the wrong hospital. They divided the kids between two different hospitals. Again almost an hour after the accident, when I was about to turn into the hospital, that’s when I received the info from her school about the accident and where they were taking the kids. I told the lady that I already knew everything and I was turning into the hospital at the moment. They were sayng that all of the kids were fine. Which was untrue, because some kids had to be taken in on a stretcher. My neighbor’s son shoe had to be cut off because of a swollen sprained foot. If any other info is neded let me know.
