I have to agree with the other answer. Having English as a second language, even with your fluency, probably had a marked negative impact on your SAT scores.
You are very interesting and I think would be an excellent addition to a college. UNC is huge and you’ll get lost there. Here is a different way:
Apply to Davidson College as well. They are much smaller than UNC, a nationally recognized liberal arts college, and I think Chris Gruber [Director of Admissions} will give your application personal attention – UNC just can’t do that because they are so big.
    Here is the contact information:

I need to be brutally frank about my analysis of your chances for UNC -Chapel Hill.
Many of the items that you mentioned above are outstanding.
You have a long and excellent record of extra-curricular and volunteeactivitiesies with a number of them showing leadership positions.Your interest in medicine is strong which you have shown. You also show a strong desire for social justice and willingness to help others.
Some admission officials will look down upon the many activities that you have and think that you are nconcentrated going from one to another as a method of scoring points on your college application.
Your GPA, ACT and SAT are low compared to the entering students at UNC indicating that your academic accomplishments are not strong. Your nine college credits is good.
I think that you might be wise in grouping your achievements into categories to show that you are not as splintered as it appears.
See if you can raise your scores. Take the SAT II exams and do not put in the names of the schools until after you see the results.
Apply to UNC and hope for the best.
    Good luck.
