Should I Switch Majors? Can I Still Be A Nurse Without Taking Lots Of Classes? ?

This Question From Oregon Nursing Schools | The Question Has 1 Answer

I’m almost 25. I’m still working on my college degree. I’m married with a child and one on the way. Ever since I was about 12, I pretty much had my mind set on being a teacher. However, when I had my son at the hospital here in Oregon in 2006, I really really really liked being there. I just loved the atmosphere. I didn’t want to leave. I will have my second child in March at the same place, and think I’ll feel the same way. Because of this, I’m thinking maybe I should obtain a career at the hospital. I have 98 college credits, a few are towards a degree in Ed. I have my associate’s degree(got it by completing 90 of those 98 credits this Spring). Would it be easy to become a nurse or someone who works in labor/delivery at this point? Or would I basically have to start from scratch? (Looking for people who know about the nursing/medical field) Thanks!
