I have read nursing is a field that has a lot of good paying, unfilled jobs, but these kinds of business reports sometimes seem skewed or leave out critical chunks of information. One similar report stated recently that being a college professor is a “top job” while neglecting to point out that most universities have had major hiring freezes for most of the last ten years.
BTW I am in my mid-40s and am very good at both science and customer service, and am a good student… This would be a pretty dramatic career change for me, however.
