Nursing Schools In Ohio?

QUESTION:

I’m a Junior in High School and have a 3.47 accumulative GPA. I’m an officer in three clubs (president in two) so I’m thinking volunteer requirements won’t be a problem when getting into colleges.
What Nursing Schools in Ohio do you think I could make it into?
I’m interested in Case Western Reserve University, Kent State University, Marian University, Toledo University, and John Carroll University. Inputs?
Also, if I want to become an RN, what steps should I take before I reach that title?

I’ve never heard of Marian University. I also don’t know what your SAT and/or ACT scores are, but I think you could get into Kent and Toledo; they are not very rigorous schools to get into. Conversely, they aren’t seen as very good schools, so it might be more difficult getting a job after graduating. John Carroll is probably a bit better than them, but not by much. Case might be a stretch, but if your test scores are good, I wouldn’t rule it out.
I know for a fact that Bowling Green and Ohio State also have nursing programs. I’m an OSU grad (not in nursing) and it was the most fun four years of my life. I have a few friends that did nursing and seemed to enjoy the program.
Just apply to schools you like, and if you get in, compare financial aid packages, visit the schools, etc. Good luck! (And go Bucks!)
