As a RN you need two years of prereq's and another two years at a nursing school. IF you get your RN as a community college, you get an associats in RN, but if you go to a four year, you get a bachelors as an RN. Some people prefer at a C.C because its cheaper, but you do need to go back another year to school(clinicals) to get a bachelors in nursing. But if you go as a Bachelors directly(4yr univ.) then you recieve your bachelors.

Canadian schooling always tends to be a little bit better. Maybe not all Princeton or Harvard level schools but some are just up there. I'm not 100% sure but I'd say it would be easier and more beneficial just to get it done in the 4 years then graduate with a good paying job.
