		<description>There is no specific college for L&amp; D nursing--you become a general RN &amp; specialize with training on the job.  There are  a number of nursing options in Cal; they have a pretty long wait list (300 applications for 50 slots)--so get going now.  There is the community college system, the University of Cal systen (ie UCLA) and the Cal State system.  Cal State Long Beach has a good program.  Depends on where you live....The associates RN (community college) takes 2 years plus pre-reqs.  The bachelor&#039;s RN takes 4 years.  After you graduate you take the NCLEX exam and then you are an RN!</description>
