Nurse/doctor College Help!!?

I live in California, and I plan on pursuing my long time dream of being a nurse, or a doctor. I also want to move to my dream state; Washington.
Would I need to go to a college in Washington to live there and work there, or could I go to college here in California and move there, whilst still being able to work in Washington?
