its not that she doesnt want me in college but its a technical school im thinking about going to. i want to go to fmu(francis marion university) but if i cant get into that school i’ll go to fdtc(florence darlington technical college) i was thinking about starting off at as a medical assistant i know they dont make much but it would give me money in my pocket to take care of myself and get out on my own at first. then i would go back and be a RN or some kind of nurse. a few minutes ago she came to me and asked if i wanted to go there and said “you know they dont make any money right?” i wanted to curse her out because a few months ago i told her i wanted to be a counselor and how much money could i make then she said ” its not all about the money you have to do something you like” but today i felt like she looked down on it because of the money! she wants me to go to scsu(south carolina state university) i dont want to go there because its not a good college like it used to be its a party school,but since a lot of people in my family went there she wants me to go,its a hour away from home and MY THREE YEAR RELATIONSHIP WILL BE OVER! but if i go to fmu or fdtc its only 45 minutes away and we can spend more time together.im stressed because i feel like she’s judgmental.one minute its not about money then the next it is. i know my gpa isnt the best so im not getting my hopes all up but im still trying to do something with my life.what should i do? its hard because im 17 and she’s 38. i talked to my mom about it yesterday i wish i didnt because she went right back and told my sister like she always does! she has a ph.d so she’s been to college but she is judgmental.i wanted to do hair once and when i told her she said “you dont want to do that you want to be the person over them!” its like if i dont hold a degree she has something to say about it but there are many jobs that pay well without a college degree like a plumber and a air traffic controller.and everytime someone in the family isnt in college she buts in there business and tells them they need to do something with there life.im the type of person that tries to mind my own business and let people live there lives.
