okay, so i live in alberta, canada. I’m trying to figure out how i’m going to pay for nursing school in the fall. I’m already accepted to the school, I just can’t figure out how I’m going to pay for it. My dad is being an *** and saying I can’t go if I don’t figure it out(which is logical, but not helpful). I figured out the following:
Cost of tuition/year :4400$
Cost of everything else/year: $7000 (that’s just an estimate, please help me and tell me if it’s logical!)
so that totals to 11 400.
I already have a set up student loan, where I’m qualified for $7000 a year for 4 years. I have 2500$ saved up now, which will help cover the first year. I will make approximately $4000 this summer, totalling to 13500$ that will cover me! i keep telling my father that, but he says i MUST pay off my student loans of 7000 each summer. he doesn’t understand that this is impossible. I keep telling him i’ll slowly pay for it once i’m done school, and i realize this will include interest. I’m also trying to get more hours at my part time job for the rest of the year, but because of this stupid recession its virtually impossible. I can apply for some scholarships, but since i’m already taking a first year of general courses at the local community college, there’s many scholarships i can’t apply for. what can i do? what can i tell my father to convince him to let me follow my dream?
