Lpn Versus Rn?

This Question From Hospital Based Nursing Schools | 1 Answer

QUESTION:

I’ve been in the medical field 11 yrs and thinking of going into Nursing. Can someone please help me consider what is the better path. Getting my LPN first and letting work pay for the rest, i’ll also be making some money on the side. Or go straight thru a 2-3 year course for my Assoc.? And what is better a hospital based program or college? Please help me!!!!

    Hey
my mother is a nurse and this is the info she has told me.
going to be a RN right away would be a great way or u could become a lpn first but with RN u get paid good so u can pay off ur college debts easily if u work full time.
With if it is best to go to a hospital based program or a colllege. well with the hospital based program u will get a lot more experience because the program will most likely give u a job @ there hospital and u will have experience with the hospital.
whereas the college u wouldn’t be able to get experience and also you won’t be able to get a job guite as quick.
SO I would recommend hospital based program
I hope I have helped some
    hehe
