I just got accepted to into their electrical and computer engineering program and i was wondering if a degree from there means something? my counselor tells me i have an impressive enough resume to get in a top notch school like Stanford and MIT, so i don’t really know what to do. my sister who is a lot smarter than i am went there and now she is going to get her doctorate from johns hopkins (but i swear she knows everything). the job market for the degree im getting is right up there with nursing so i wonder if it even matters. I don’t mind leaving home but im not desperate to leave. So basically im asking is it worth it to spend a lot of money to go to cal tech or should i just go to the u of a for free. either way ill probably end up with the same quality of a job and get paid the same in the end
