Hi, does somebody knows if it is possible for a foreigner to work and study at the same time? I want to become a nurse. Have been living in exile for quite a few years now. I find myself in Mexico now, and I have a work permit and got accepted in the university for the nursing program. I went with my acceptance letter to immigration, to request my study permit ( the university is asking for it) and they told me I can not study or if I want to study, I need to surrender my work permit to be able to do that, because foreigner can not work and study in Mexico at the same time. I lived also in the USA, impossible, extremely expensive the nursing program. My work permit was about to expire. Venezuela, I’m a national, there is only one nursing shool in Caracas that has an age limit and very hard to get in.
I would appreciate some insight. If somebody could give me some information.
I do not have a family to support me. I’m alone. I need to work to be able to study.
Life’s too short. Better to make dreams come true and mine is to become a nurse and do social work in Africa. There is lots of need there.
