If You Get Your Nursing License In One State, Can You Practice In Another?

This Question From Ohio Nursing Schools | 2 Answers

QUESTION:

For example, I’m getting my nursing degree from a college in New York, and I am planning on moving to Ohio when I graduate. Can I practice nursing there? Is my nursing license even valid? If not, what steps or processes would I have to take to get a valid license?

In USA every state has different requirement of nursing examination and license. But few states also have the reciprocity arrangements with which you can work with the same license just by clearing the state level exam. So you will have to contact the state board of nursing to check this.
