Don’t be intimidated. Wouldn’t you like a little challenge? According to Salary.com in Maryland they get paid around 35 to 45,000. There are many nursing schools in MD or DC. Not all are very competitive. And if they are you can always go to community college to start off or just get your degree there and save some money. I heard Montgomery College in Maryland has a great nursing program and its not that hard to get it and its two years R.N degree. So consider your options.
