Help Please, With My Nursing Student Career!!?

I was in in a 4 Yr BScN program at a top Health Science University in Ontario, Canada. I did really welly my 1st and 2nd year, but I had a big mess up in my 3rd yr. So I was told to apply to be reinstated into the program.
I took the year off to really decide if nursing was for me. I then applied to other nursing schools and have gotten into both RN (BScN programs) and RPN programs (registered practical nursing program which is 2 years and is at the local college and is a joint program with the university)
I am still waiting to hear about being reinstated or not back into my old university.
Would going for the RPN be the best decision right now? if i were to go to another university for the RN program It would cost more in the long run since it is far away and I would be in a ton of debt from student loans.
After the RPN program I would apply for the RPN -> RN program
Some advice or anything please
