Good Online College For Active Duty Us Army?

This Question From Online Nursing Schools | 3 Answers

QUESTION:

I am in the Army and stationed overseas so I cannot go to a local community college and do classes there, so I have to do online. I want to start my degree in nursing so I can eventually apply to the AECP program. I would really appreciate some answers, my ed center is completely useless and nobody in my unit is any help either.
Thank you very much.

My best recommendation would be to contact a number of colleges to find the best fit for you and your needs (tuition, schedule, career opportunities, etc.). Too often people enroll in the first school they find rather than taking the time to find the best school for them. Taking that time now could save you a lot of time, money and frustration if you choose the wrong school.
This site has some good info on regionally accredited online degrees and some colleges that offer them to help expand your search:http://www.ecollegefinder.org
I think you can enter your info on there for any colleges you are interested in and they will send you more info for free. Good Luck!

    Hi,
I have completed my BS online at Excelsior College http://www.excelsior.edu in 2008. Excelsior College is a very military friendly college. Most of my fellow students were in the military ( and many were enrolled in associates or bachelor’s degrees in nursing) and found that Excelsior was very supportive of their special requirements ( active duty commitments).
So, check out Excelsior College and see if they fit your needs. If you have any questions about Excelsior, contact me directly.

    Hope this helps.
