For People Who Are Already Phlebotomists?

This Question From Indiana Nursing Schools | The Question Has 2 Answers

My question is simple: Is it possible to become a certified phlebotomist without obtaining a degree? I had asked a nurse and her response was that she though you had to take a medical technician degree and then branch off, said she wasn’t quite sure. I’ve read somewhere that sometimes places require you to have an anatomy and physiology class first. I live in northern Indiana if that helps. I’m just wondering if I can work in a hospital setting with just a certificate? Thank you.
