There are many schools in Florida that offer a nursing program. The only hospitals that might do that would be a teaching hospital not affiliated with a university.
I would think that attending a school with financial aid would be just as cost effective. Prospective schools might have a relationship with hosptal(s) to provide financial assistance (pay now, work later).
You are right about tuition for out-of-state resident. It will be high at public institutions.
P.S. Lee Memorial is the major hospital in Ft. Myers (Lee County). You can certainly speak to someone there for ideas.
