This kid's mother started off as a nurse, then continued on with her education, eventually becoming a nurse practitioner. When they were over in Iraq, she finished medical school. She is now a pediatrician. During our recent round of residency interviews...we had two candidates, older than the usual bunch of young 20-somethings - one had been a PA (physician assistant) for years and the other had been a nurse for years. My brother is a registered nurse.. he went straight to med school (university of the Philippines) after graduation in nursing.... its here in the philippines but i think its still the same in other countries... Pre-med is anything with a degree.. even philosophy students can get into medicine... yes you can!
