Can You Be A Major In Nursing And Then Still Go Into Med School After U Get Ur Nursing Degree?

QUESTION:
Can you still go into med school after a degree in nursing? i know it is good to have biochem or biomed as ur major but what about nursing?
im not sure if it makes a difference but im going to canadian schools so if its in USA that ur talking about please let me know that ur info isnt about canadian school!

yes you can! My brother is a registered nurse.. he went straight to med school (university of the Philippines) after graduation in nursing…. its here in the philippines but i think its still the same in other countries… Pre-med is anything with a degree.. even philosophy students can get into medicine…

Recently, we were at the wedding of my boyfriend’s friend…former army buddy. This kid’s mother started off as a nurse, then continued on with her education, eventually becoming a nurse practitioner. When they were over in Iraq, she finished medical school. She is now a pediatrician.
During our recent round of residency interviews…we had two candidates, older than the usual bunch of young 20-somethings – one had been a PA (physician assistant) for years and the other had been a nurse for years. The downside, is they ended up ranking lower than most other candidates we interviewed.
