i need some help trying to find the perfect ending for my story and how it should tie it all together. i kind of have a vague idea but i don’t know how to ‘put the last nail in the coffin…’ it’s told in two perspectives. the man and the woman.
my story is about…
a girl (naomi) who grows up with this kid (andrew or andres… don’tk now yet) who is always picked on and physically abused by his parents to the point that he goes crazy. she’s gone to school with him almost her whole entire life and her heart breaks for him but she’s too ashamed to step up and defend him. so she just sits back and lets him take those beatings.
the boy hates the girl but knows that he’s already fallen in love with her. he promises to himself that he’d take revenge on all those who had hurt him. he’s very involved in the politics at his school but drops out in college. a few years later he becomes a corrupt but rich senator from idaho and eventually runs for president. he abuses his power as president and declares war on the world.
(during this time our natural resources of gas and oil are very little and everyone has conformed to using eco friendly things hoping that over time the supply of nonrenewable resources will be replenished… and there’s some tense relationships between the alliances of many countries)
the president is smart enough not to start the war just because. america has huge secret oil reserves in alaska and parts of canada which they share and make huge profits from selling. and he provokes germany to attack their reserves by cracking it open and allowing the americans to use it freely.
he also create something called ‘breeding stations’ where newborns are allowed to register and it’s sort of like a day care. it’s supposed nurture the kids until they’re ready to go to school. but instead the president uses it to create soldiers. everyday the children are either injected or consume a special growth hormone substance (depending if they’re a baby or a toddler and older) which makes them grow faster physically and mentally. which allows them to generate more soldiers faster.
the woman (naomi)’s son is a victim of that. he’s taken away at birth because of his father who sends him to the breeding stations against naomi’s will because he thinks it’s good for him. (but naomi’s husband doesn’t really know what the real purpose for the breeding stations) so they have no idea what each other looks like.
naomi’s part is basically about all the regret and blaming of herself for what happened to andrew and her life as she lives through all the consequences of his actions. and her son as he grows up eventually forms a group of assasins to kill the president. and naomi’s husband is a head doctor and CEO of all the breeding stations but he’s blind to all that is happening.
andrew’s part is basically all about his hate for mankind and about revenge. i want him to have a change of heart because i want him to be dynamic but i don’t know how i should do that.
in the end i sort of plan out that naomi and andrew meet each other where andrew confronts naomi about how he knows that she never helped him and that she was selfish. as he plans to kill her he is shot by naomi’s son and … well yeah that’s all i got…
i’m also not really sure if i should reveal to the character that naomi is his mother or if i should keep them in the dark. naomi meets her son in Great Britain because she was assigned to be a military nurse there.
so i mean … yeah… it’s a little different from the ‘girl got pregnant by her teenage boyfriend or got raped and is pregnant or likes a boy who doesn’t like her back and eventually ends up killing herself… ‘ stories… that i could be writing… but i hope that the above story is original…
