2 questions:: 1)How do i become a neonatal nurse? 2)How do i get a scholarship for college through the military for nursing
#1 specified:: i want to be a neonatal nurse/labor and delivery room nurse. i’m planning on going to nursing school at the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) or starting my basic classes at the College of Southern Nevada (CSN) and then transferring to the nursing school after two years(which would be the best route? btw can i take nursing classes at a community college or do i have to take them at a nursing school). I’m really nervous because i’m not sure how to find out all of this information. i tried looking on the website for the nursing school (http://nursing.unlv.edu/) but im not really sure what im looking for. im trying to find the schedule of the classes i need to take for a BSN. and after becoming an RN how do i become a neonatal nurse and/or a labor and delivery room nurse? also, when can i start working as a nurse(do i start after i have my BSN or can i start, say, after two years or something?)
#2 specified:: i’m a junior, and a few months ago, some navy recruiters came into my chemistry class. they talked about how you can sign up for this military scholarship that will pay for your college if u work for them after college (ex. you sign up for scholarship, if you are accepted you go to college for nursing, after college you work for the military for a certain number of year [4-8yrs] as a nurse and you don’t have to pay for your college tuition) well the thing is, i know mostly about the navy scholarship, but i would rather join the army like my aunt (who is a neonatal/ delivery room nurse). where can i find out information about military scholarships and ROTC programs? do i need to talk to a recruiter or can i find out the information online? and where do i sign up for the scholarship and are there any deadlines?
